AMERICA'S WARS ON INDIGENOUS SHORES

On this day, 29 December 1890, we honor and pay tribute to Chief Spotted Elk, the more than 300 women, children, and men massacred at Wounded Knee, and the Dakota 38 executed at Mankato on 26 December 1862.

We’re on a journey to create a wave of momentum for the 50th Anniversary of the “Trail of Broken Treaties” caravan to Washington, D.C., 17 September 2022 — and to generate over a million petition signatures to challenge the United States and its Congress to #RightTheWrong and honor at least one of the more than 500 broken treaties made with Native Nations.
