MISSING CHILDREN'S DAY

Missing Children’s Day, an annual global initiative established in 2001, highlights the countless children missing, exploited, and abused. Recognized nationally in the US in 1983, May 25th underscores global efforts to ensure their safe return home.

Your support and participation in the events organized by organizations, such as The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and The International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, can make a significant impact.

Millions of children worldwide are in peril, with Indigenous children bearing the brunt of oppression, deculturalization, poverty, and despair. Native Children's Survival (NCS) is dedicated to generating awareness and support to eradicate these life-threatening conditions. The urgency of this situation cannot be overstated.

In 1990, on behalf of NCS, Robby Romero released a music picture titled ALL THE MISSING CHILDREN. Inspired by Benford E. Standley's manuscript SOME RAN EAST...SOME RAN WEST, and with the help and support of Lakota country singer-songwriter Buddy Red Bow—ALL THE MISSING CHILDREN spotlights the crisis. Robby wrote the song to support Standley's efforts to help homeless, abused, runaway, throwaway and misplaced children and youth.

Missing Children's Day is an opportunity to renew our efforts to reunite missing families and children and acknowledge all those working for the cause. Help us by taking the first step towards making a difference.
