DÍA DE MUERTOS 2025

Día de MuertoS

Honoring our ancestors on Día de Muertos.

Celebrated annually on November 1st and 2nd in present-day Mexico and around the world, Día de Muertos is rooted in Indigenous culture and tradition when the veil thins between this world and the spirit world.

“La Llorona,” a musical short from Dakhóta Romero’s music picture of the the same title went viral on YouTube, capturing hearts across Latin America and beyond. Dakhóta’s haunting rendition of the song was orginally released during Día de Muertos in 2013.

Honoring deceased ancestors in present-day Mexico predates Spanish colonization. Aztec and Mayan customs, which spread throughout the country, merged with Catholic, Spanish, and Indigenous elements to form today’s Día de Muertos.

In the spirit of our ancestors!
