The Indigenous Peoples' Sunrise Gathering is an annual ceremony and celebration of Indigenous resilience. Since 1975, the event has taken place on Alcatraz Island in Ohlone Territory on America's Thanksgiving.

The event coincides with the National Day of Mourning, first observed in 1970, and is dedicated to recognizing the injustices faced by Native Peoples since the Pilgrims landed in 1620 on Wampanoag Nation shores at Patuxet, now known as Plymouth.

The Indigenous Peoples' Sunrise Gathering honors the 1969 occupation of Alcatraz Island by the Red Power and Indians of All Tribes movement and is organized by the International Indian Treaty Council.
