INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE WORLD'S INDIGENOUS PEOPLES

August 9th is the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, established by the United Nations in 1994 to commemorate the first meeting of the United Nations Working Group on Indigenous Populations in 1982.

The theme for this year is "Indigenous Youth as Agents of Change for Self-Determination."

Join the virtual commemoration on August 9th, 2023, from 9am to 10:30am EST (New York time), where we will celebrate Indigenous youth as agents of change for self-determination. Interpretation in English and Spanish will be available for all attendees.
